A week from today, Justin Bieber will bring his “Purpose World Tour” to the stage at St. Louis’ Scottrade Center. As hit singles from his latest album titled “Purpose” refuse to fall off the charts, four of them are beaming proudly on this week’s Billboard Hot 100. Yesterday, Bieber was nominated for 11 Billboard Music Awards. Eleven. Incredible.
Bieber’s “come back” has been something of a marvel. Although it’s obvious that Justin never had trouble building a dedicated fandom, his new music has earned him a heavily diverse group of followers. Finding success so young has given Bieber the intense task of growing into himself as a musician under a harsh spotlight. But not to our surprise, he seems to be jumping hurdles and navigating his way to victory in his sleep as “Purpose” is his fourth album to peak at No. 1 on the charts. Bringing maturity to his lyrics but staying true to his sound, Bieber has succeeded in making it cool to be a Belieber. And, let’s be honest, we all Belieb when we’re in the car alone (yes sir, even you).
Reviews from the first few shows of the “Purpose World Tour” have delivered nothing less than relentless positivity. Music publications big and small have painted Justin’s show as a marvel of “less is more”, Rolling Stone claiming in their review that Justin was a “musician taking control of his art”. Bieber will spend more time displaying his vocal ability and relating to fans than he has on past tours. Of course, it wouldn't be a Bieber tour without a drum solo, so expect to see that as well.
Next Tuesday, St. Louis, you will get a view of Bieber you haven't seen before. Be prepared to walk away impressed by the entire experience. This is a show you can't miss.
