Former Led Zeppelin frontman, Robert Plant, visited the birthplace of rock-n-roll last night. It was our first time covering a show at Mud Island River Park and it was incredible. The weather was gorgeous, the music was great and the sense of community in Memphis brought it all together.
Plant tweeted about the show hours before he took the stage.
Nashville musician Keb Mo opened the show and played as the venue filled up. Keb knew his audience and played a very blues filled set. Plant played everything from Zeppelin covers to tracks off his solo albums. According to the noise level of the crowd, the best part of the show was when Robert told a story about Zeppelin being in Memphis. The story had something to do with the police, a bar and Led Zeppelin, but we'll leave it at that :)
